Dream Big – Learn New Things

Did you know that it is never too late and you’re never too old to try new things? I’ve become more and more aware of this with each passing year. This October, I will celebrate three-quarters of a century on this earth.

I look every one of those years, and I’ll gladly take them. My mind still feels as though I’m in my . . . I thought about this and decided my thirties are reasonable. After all, I have three sons who are in their forties, and our Baby Boy is still in his early thirties.

FIRST BOOK

As a reminder, my first novel, Grave Consequences,  was published when I was seventy. Let’s just say it took me a while to figure out that I really could write a book. This was totally a God-thing. I would never have done this without some prompting from my precious, late sister, Bobbie Ann, better known as Sissy to me.

From the beginning, she encouraged me. She hit her knees at the Throne of Grace on my behalf more times than I can count.

BOOK TWO

Book two, Grave Decisions, is in the hands of my editor. She’s almost finished, and then we’ll work together to polish and spit-shine. I’ve begun the first stage of book three,  and yes, I decided to change it a bit but not too much. (Yay! She finished her part, now we go over it together. Pray for favor, please.)

In the meantime, I’ve been working on a stand-alone, The Red Dirt Girls, which has already garnered a first-place finish in a writing contest. RDG is Southern women’s fiction.  I’ve never written a split-time book, but I’m having so much fun doing this. Figuring out the point of view (POV) character has been challenging, too. See. I’m learning new things, even at this age, and you can too!

BOTTOM LINE

This post is short and to the point with all this going on. Bottom line . . . you can do anything your heart desires and at any age. Remember to ask God to help you, to open doors, put people in your path to help you, and anything is possible. Dream BIG, y’all! We serve a big, big God who can do all things.

Now, go do it!

Blessings, y’all!

PS

As a post, post . . . have you read Grave Consequences? I have ninety-seven reviews on Amazon, and I understand that one hundred will be another one of their algorithm-changing marks. If you’ve read it and you haven’t left a review there, it’s pretty easy. A review doesn’t have to be long or sound like the next best-seller, but if you can do that, you need to be working on your own book! Go here, if you will, and put in your thoughts: https://bit.ly/3ILU7lX

Thank you so much for being faithful followers. I appreciate you more than I can say.

So touching to see these young people sing what they believe! I pray this blesses you. HE IS ABLE!

So happy you are going to have a book 3 of Charlotte and the other characters. And can’t wait to read Book 2 when it comes out. From the early version I read, it will be a page-turner like Book 1. Also can’t wait to read Red Dirt Girls.

    Prayers for you!

  3. Tim Richards says:

Congratulations on all you’ve accomplished and will yet do. Keep it up!
