My faith and my family are the most important parts of me. As you saunter through the sections of this website, I hope you find words of encouragement and stories about faith that will lift you up. You’ll encounter a glimpse of my family, past and present, because genealogy is one of my passions. It’s no mystery that God led me to write genealogy mysteries.
God Prepared Me
As a child, I spent hours pouring over our Childcraft books. I loved the poems and stories. As I got older, I began writing my own stories, penning my first novel at the age of thirteen. Even though I couldn’t see it, God was preparing me for the call He would place on my life to write for Him. One of my favorites verses of scripture is Jeremiah 29:11. God made plans and I followed.
College, Music, Marriage, and Kids
One would think that I studied English literature or something similar. Nope. I earned two degrees in music and thought I’d one day sing in the Metropolitan Opera. We all know that didn’t happen. The best man in the world came along and we got married, had four sons, and life was busy.

Fast forward to grown sons, a daughter-of-our-hearts, and two perfect granddaughters and you’ll find us living in Virginia for a while to care for those girls. While there I felt the call to write again. That writing led me to BRMCWC, where I heard for the first time, you are a writer. I went home and bought every book I could find on writing. I continued to attend conferences where God blessed me with the best teachers, mentors, and friends I could have hoped for. I’ve learned so much from every single one of them and I am profoundly grateful.
