Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da . . .

Life goes on.

Here it is, two days after the election and the sun is still rising in the East. Birds are still singing here in the mountains of western North Carolina, and temperatures are moderate. As a matter of fact, it’s nice to see sunshine as we’ve had a few days of rain. Miserable conditions for those people so adversely affected by hurricane Helene.

To that end, do not forget them. Conditions are still so bad for many, many people. You just cannot imagine the mess. The pictures you see don’t do it justice. But everyone who lives in this area is so, so thankful for all the helpers who are here. God bless all of you. And for all of you who’ve made donations, thank you, too. The needs are great!

GOD IS IN CONTROL

From weather-related storms to political thunder, we need to always remember that God is in control. No matter what earthly things may unfold, He is still Sovereign, and He is still seated on His throne.

Here on earth as we anxiously await His return . . . life goes on.

THIS TOO SHALL PASS

Here is a reminder that earthly things will pass away – Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away (Matthew 24: 35 ESV). Those words were said by Jesus.  Red words in your Bible.

Eternity awaits those of us who follow Christ. Imagine the colors there. Rainbows the likes of which we’ve not witnessed with earthly eyes. Fields of flowers with colors and aromas unlike any we’ve experienced here on this fallen earth. And, oh, the music. Think of your favorite hymn or praise song, sung by heavenly choirs with the heavenly orchestra behind them. We can only imagine.

ETERNITY

Do you know where you will spend eternity? If you are unsure, contact me via an email or a private message. I’m praying for you, wherever you are.

In the meantime, keep looking up here on earth as life goes on.

Blessings, y’all!

Do we ever need to be reminded of this! Words are perfect for us every day, but especially right now.

Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
