7 Powerful Scriptures to Pray Now

Has your prayer list grown lately? My list has. I think most people I know would say our country is in a mess. I’d wonder what in the world is going on, except I know what it is.

Satan.

Plain and simple. He’s running around or having his nasty little demons running around all over the world wreaking havoc in every corner.

We have the power to stop them in their tracks.

How?

Prayer and Scripture. Combine the two and pray the Scriptures over all situations. The Lord knows this old world needs our prayers.

7 POWERFUL SCRIPTURES TO PRAY NOW

Here are seven Bible verses about the power of prayer, all from ESV.

  • The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. James 5: 16b
  • Ask and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one wo knocks it will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8
  • Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6
  • Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
  • If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and their land.
  • 2 Chronicles 7:14
  • Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. Jeremiah 29:12
  • I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. John 17: 15

MANY MORE IN OUR BIBLES

The Bible is filled with verses for us to pray in every circumstance. Prayers for our prodigal children, the lost, our country, our leaders, our anxieties, and look up at the first one in this list. What a promise.

Whatever your prayer concerns may be, pray without ceasing. He’s listening and He’s working, so don’t forget to pray in the Name of Jesus because He’s the source of our prayer power.

Blessings, y’all!
